Cape Sounion Sunset Tour with Dinner by the Sea
Poseidon’s temple at golden hour, then dinner on the Athens Riviera.
A private afternoon-to-evening tour along the Athens Riviera to Cape Sounion and the 5th-century BC Temple of Poseidon, timed for sunset, followed by dinner in a seafood taverna. About 70 km each way. From £290 per group of up to four.
The Temple of Poseidon stands on a headland about 70 km south-east of Athens, and sailors approaching Athens saw it long before they saw the city. Its Doric columns are best seen in the last hour of daylight.
The drive follows the coast road past Vouliagmeni and Lake Vouliagmeni, and we stop for a swim or a drink, depending on the season.
