In brief

A private half or full day in Athens with a licensed guide: the Acropolis at the first timed-entry slot, the Ancient Agora and the Acropolis Museum. Your own chauffeur-driven vehicle collects you from your hotel or from Piraeus. From £320 per group of up to four people.

Athens rewards preparation. The Acropolis is visited on timed-entry tickets and the hours around midday are hot and crowded. We book the opening slot, so you stand in front of the Parthenon in cool light with a guide who explains the architecture, the politics and the myths in the right order.

The day continues into the Ancient Agora, where Athenian democracy was practised, and the Acropolis Museum, whose galleries line up with the Parthenon above. Lunch is a long one in Plaka or on a quiet roof terrace.

Highlights

  • Opening-slot entry to the Acropolis
  • Erechtheion and the Caryatids
  • Temple of Hephaestus in the Agora
  • Acropolis Museum
  • Lunch in Plaka

Insider notes

  • We buy Acropolis tickets on the official Ministry platform (hhticket.gr) so you never pay reseller mark-ups; the slot is chosen at purchase.
  • Ancient Agora hours were announced by the Athens Ephorate of Antiquities as 08:00–19:30 from 1 April 2026; we plan the Agora for the afternoon.
